You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You simply multiplied 33.5 by 60 to get 2010, which is NOT correct.


You first need to convert the given percentage to decimal form to get 0.335 (you do this by moving the decimal point 2 spots to the left). Now you multiply 0.335 by 60 to get 20.1

If you had 33% of a population of 60 people and someone told you it was 2010, would that make sense? I think not.

Also, I think you multiplied 60*(33.5). However, 33.5 is a "percent," and it should represent the decimal number .335. You can multiply 60*.335 to get 20.100 (here you will get to move the decimal three places to the left), so this is equal to 20.1.
