1. n=2 - by cross multiplying and then reducing the fraction left there (18/9).
2. percentage...PER CENT....out of 100!!!!
so...37.5% is 37.5/100 or if you like...75/200..now simplify it...divide everything by 25...3/8. Voila :-)
20% of x is 50 ... of means multiply
(20/100)x = 50
Re-arranging gives x=250
