You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let p= the original price of coffee per pound
1.25p will be the new price of coffee per pound
Let c = consumption in pounds originally
Let a = the fraction of new consumption allowed
---------------------
The equation I want to be true is:
pc+=+1.25%2Ap%2Aa%2Ac
divide both sides by pc
1+=+1.25a
a+=+4%2F5
If 4/5 of the previous consumption is allowed, then
the past consumption must be reduced by 1%2F5 answer
