first the profit is 9,000
the loss is 3,000
to find the percent of profit:
divide 9,000 by 12,000, move decimal 2 places two the left
to find the percent of loss:
divide 3,000 by 12,000, move the decimal two places to the left
resulting numbers is the awnswer
