Amount = 80 + 0.04*80
Amount = 1.04*80
Amount = 83.2

you must convert 4% to a decimal by dividing by 100 or moving the decimal two places to the left. Therefore 4% becomes .04
Next multiply 80 pounds by .04 and you get 3.2 pounds
3.2 pounds is the amount of weight being increased so you need to add it to the original 80 pounds
