Question 157955: If I am given 43 minutes to complete a task at work, and I complete it in 43 minutes I would have performed the task at 100%. Now if I am able to complete the task at 145% how many minutes would it have taken me to complete the assignment?

.
Percent is "per one hundred". 100% means finishing on-time at 43 minutes. 145% means MORE than the original time -- finishing LONGER than the 43 minutes.
So,
145/100 * 43
= 1.45 * 43
= 62.35 minutes
