Question 150230: plz help me out and explain this equation to me
Employees of a discount appliance store receive an additional 20% off of the lowest price on an item. If an employee purchases a dishwasher during a 15% off sale, how much will he pay if the dishwasher originally cost $450?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 20% + 15% will be his discount, because not only is he an employee (20%), but he is buying during a 15% off sale. So he gets two discounts, 20% and 15%. That is 35%.
if the dishwasher originally cost $450, find 35% of 450.
450 x .35 = 157.5
That is the discount. Now subtract that from the original price to get the price you pay with the discount.
450 - 157.5 = 292.5
Final price after discount: $292.50
