Question 14236: I had this problem:
Turn 48% to a fraction
How do I do that?
Answer by Alwayscheerful(414) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First, a percent is something over 100. In mathamatical form, X/100. Since you have 48%, you can change that to 48/100.
You may think that is the answer, and in a way it is, but you must REDUCE. Find the greatest common factor of 48 and 100. You can also do it the easier way of dividing top and bottom by 2
48/100 = 24/50 = 12/25
You final answer should be 12/25
