Electric Bill Mary Beth's first electric bill for her new apartment was $95 for the month of June.
When she complained to the landlord about the high cost of electricity, she was informed that summer electric bills are about 90% higher than winter because of the periodic summer use of air condioners.
How much can Mary Beth expect her winter electric bill to be?
------------
Let her winter electric bill be "x".
EQUATION:
x + 0.90x = 95
