Question 1136948: My son's homework asks to convert 13/200 to closest whole PERCENT.
He converted it to 0.065 as a decimal and 7% since it asks to round to the Nearest Whole Percent. His teacher says it is wrong and insists it is 6.5%. I don't gt it. 6.5% rounded to nearest WHOLE PERCENT is 7% isn't it?
I don't want to tell him he is wrong if he isn't!!! Would appreciate your reply.

6.5 to nearest WHOLE number is 7.
You round UPWARD because the digit after the "6" is 5 or bigger.
