convert 12.5% to a decimal, which is 0.125
multiply that by 168, and the answer is 21.
Alternatively, 12.5% is 1/8
1/8 * 168 is 21
Alternatively, 12.5% is 10% +1% +1%+0.5%
this is harder but still works
10% of 168 is 16.8
1% of 168 is 1.68
1% of 168 is 1.68
0.5% of 168 is 0.84
They add to 12.5% of 168 is 21.
