Question 1040867: What is 20% off of $145 and how do I go about solving it on my own in the future.
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You take $145 and multiply it by 0.20 to get $29
That is the amount discounted or "off"
subtract the $29 from the $145 and you get $116.
The question is ambiguous. You get $29 off, but the final price is $116. Who writes the question has to be clear on that. Do they want the discount or the final price, or both?
