Question 1003241: what is 30% off $17.00 with a 6% sales tax?
Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
30% off of $17 is $5.10.
Take that off $17 and $11.90 is the sale price.
Multiply that by 1.06 (that's the taxed price) and get
1.06($11.90) = $12.61 or $12.62
