Question 6456: What formula do I use to show what percentage of 1,664 is 18? If Ann works a 32-hour week, except for 2 months of the year, her actual hours worked in a year is 1,646, not (32 * 52). For 2 months, she works 30 hours, which reduces her yearly total by 18 hours. Since her leave is awarded based on a 32 hour week, we need to reduce that award by whatever percentage 18 is of the full yearly hours, as above. Annual vacation leave for 32-hour week = 128 hours " sick " = 76 hours The best guesstimate is .01% which is of course closer to 17.25 hours, and could be used for this purpose, but is there a better formula?
