h=144t- 16t(squared) I dont think it is right though

Suppose that you have $14,000.00 to invest. Which investment yields the greater return over 10 years: 7% compounded monthly or 6.85% compounded continuously? I know what the answer is but I don't know how to get there.

Question 31403: I see this question has already been asked, but I think it was submitted incorrectly. Solve the equation. Give an exact solution.
4^(x+6) = 7
Please help with this.
Here is another one that I am having trouble with.
Write the equation in its equivalent logarithmic form.
10^2 = y
I think the answer is logy = 2
but I am not sure why or how to get there.
