Question 162779: a)Express the following as a single logarithms
6 log10y+4log10z-log10y-2
log (10y)^6 + log (10z)^4 - log (10y) - 2log (10)
log (10y)^6 (10z)^4 - log (10y) - log (10)^2
log (10y)^6(10z)^4/(10y) - log (10)^2
log ((10y)^6 * (10z)^4)/(10y * 10^2)
log (10^6 y^6 * 10^4z^4)/(10^3 y)
log (10^10 y^6 z^4)/(10^3 y)
log 10^7y^5z^4
b)Factorize the expression 25x2-64y2 and 1/4(Log2x-log2y)
25x^2 - 64y^2)= (5x - 8y)(5x + 8y)
1/4 (log2x - log 2y)
1/4log 2x - 1/4log 2y
log (2x)^1/4 - log (2y)^ 1/4
log (2^1/4 x^1/4)/(2^1/4 y^1/4)
log x^1/4/y^1/4
or
log (x/y)^1/4
c)find the points of intersection of the following two equestions: y=c and y=mx+c.
Two equations intersect when they are equal...
c = mx+c
c-c = mx + c-c
0 = mx + 0
0/m = mx/m
0= x
Then they intersect when x=0 and y=c

Question 165602: Good Afternoon,
I am trying to figure out how to plot a graph with several functions. For example f(x)=7^x. This is what I have.
f(0) = 7^0 = 1 f(-1) = 7-1 = 1/7^1 = 1/7
f(1) = 7^1 = 7 f(-2) = 7-2 = 1/7^2 = 1/14
f(2) = 7^2 = 14 f(-3) = 7-3 = 1/7^3 = 1/21
f(3) = 7^3 = 21
Can you let me know if this looks right? More importantly, I have no idea how to graph this.
Thank you for the help you give. : )
