Question 973845: Rewrite log7(151) using base-10 logarithms. Find an apporx. answer rounded to three decimal places.
I have no idea how to even begin this question because the notes I was given (I do correspondence work at home) don't even mention base 10 logarithms.
If somebody could explain this that would be wonderful.

Base 10 is the default base. If no other base is given, it's base 10.
The Log button on calculators does base 10.
---------------
For use the base change formula:
=~ 2.578

The log is the exponent.
--> (not 151 due to round-off error)
