Question 961310: Solve the equation. Show all the steps please:
log (4+x) - log (x-3) = log 2

log (4+x) - log (x-3) = log 2
log (4+x)/(x-3)=log 2
Since log a-log b=log (a/b)
Removing the log on both sides we get,
(4+x)/(x-3)=2
Multiplying on both sides by (x-3) we get,
4+x=2x-6
2x-x=6+4
x=10.
