Question 958315: Solve the given logarithmic equation.
log2 x + log2(10 − x) = 4

Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log2 (x) + log2(10 - x) = 4
log2 (x) + log2(10 - x) = log2(16)
x(10-x) = 16
10x - x^2 = 16
-x^2 + 10x = 16
-x^2 + 10x -16 = 0
x^2 -10x + 16 = 0
(x - 8)(x - 2) = 0
x = 8 or x = 2
