Solve the equation and give the exact answer. Then if necessary, use a calculator to obtain a decimal answer approximation correct to two decimal places.
Log(x+3)+log(x-2)=log14
log((x+3)(x-2))=log14
(x+3)(x-2)=14
x^2+x-6=14
x^2+x-20=0
(x+5)(x-4)=0
x=-5(reject), both(x+3)and(x-2)>0
or
x=4
