Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) Find the domain and explain the answers for each
a) f(t)= 4.5e^t
t can take on any value so the domain is "all Real Numbers".
------------
b) g(x) = log(x+3)
Is the base g?
The base is 10 when the word "log" is used, unless a different base is specified.
Since you can only find logs of non-negative numbers x+3 must be greater
than or equal to 0. Therefore x must be greater than or equal to -3.
Therefore the domain is "all Real numbers greater than or equal to -3".
---------------------
c) g(x) = 2^x
x can take on any value so the domain is "all Real Numbers".
-----------------------
d) g(t)=ln(t-1)
The t-1 must be greater than or equal to zero.
So t must be greater than or equal to 1.
So the domain is "all Real Numbers greater than or equal to 1".
