Question 891923: Hi, this is my first time asking a question :D
If = a , find in terms of a.
I tried to break down to something like . Then, - so that it can be simplified to - a . But I couldn't do anything more. I tried other ways but this method seemed to be the best.
The answer says 2a - 3 but it does not provide any explanation. Could you guide me through this question?
I tried to work it out backwards using this answer 2a - 3. I got - 3 . Then - . And finally which gives me . Supposing I did not know the answer, how can I work it out to get 2a - 3? Thank you in advance.
