 x^2 + 4x + 4 = 7x + 2

x^2 - 3x - 2 = 0

(x-2)(x-1) = 0,   x = 1, 2

and IF...:)

Therefore:



     |Note:  If log(2,X) = 1  then 2^1 = X

  x^2 + 4x + 4 = 14x + 4

  x^2 - 10x = 0

 x(x-10) = 0,   x = 10    |Note:  root x = 0 is an extraneous root
