Question 861687: condense (9 log_b x)+(7 log_b z)
Could you please help me how to solve this, or better yet give me the answer?
Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Logarithms are really exponents,
and as long as the base is the same,
it is easy to add and subtract them.
If you add exponents, you get the the product of the powers,
as in ,
so if you add logarithms you get the logarithm of the product.
