Question 833505: 3^2x+5 = 5^6-x
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3^(2x+5) = 5^(6-x)
--------
(2x+5)log(3) = (6-x)log(5)
------
2xlog(3) + xlog(5) = -5log(3)+6log(5)
------
xlog(9) + xlog(5) = -5log(3)+6log(5)
------
x = [-5log(3)+6log(5)]/[log(9)+log(5)]
=================
x = 1.0938
