Hi,
A bacteria culture started with 6500 bacteria and increased by 35% in the first 2 hours.
6500 + .35(6500) = 6500(1 + .35) = 1.35(6500)
Q(t)=6500e^(kt)
1.35(6500) = 6500e^(kt)

ln(1.35)/2 = k = .1501

How long does it take for the population to triple in size?

ln3/.1501 = t
Note: Always important to use the assignment requirement for the proper amount of decimal points
