Find the exponential equation whose graph passes through the points (-3,3/8) and (3,24)
---------
Form y = a*b^x
-------------------
(3/8) = a*b^(-3)
24 = a*b^3
----------------------
Divide the lower by the upper equation and solve for "b":
24/(3/8) = b^6
---
64 = b^6
b = 2
--------------------
Now solve for "a":
24 = a*b^3
24 = a*2^3
24 = a*8
a = 3
---------
Equation:
y = 3*2^x
-----------------
