Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Express as a single logarithm.
1/2 (log3 (x-5) - log3 x)
-------------
Correct way to write the problem::
(1/2)log3(x-5) - log3(x)
----
= log3(x-5)^(1/2) - log3(x)
-----
= log3[(x-5)^(1/2)/x]
=====
OR
= log3[sqrt(x-5)/x]
