Question 817167: log(5)k - log(5)k-1 = 1
Answer by LinnW(1048)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

log(5)k - log(5)k-1 = 1
log(5)(k/(k-1) = 1
Notice that 1 = log(5)
so, log(5)(k/(k-1) = log(5)
and k/(k-1) = 5
k/(k-1) = 5/1
finding cross products
k = 5(k-1)
k = 5k -5
-4k = -5
k = 5/4
