Question 8059: Please tell me about the change of basis formula
Answer by longjonsilver(2297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if you have log(x) to base a, and want it to base b, then its equivalent is:

log(x)/log(a) both to base b

eg ln 10 is the same as log10/log(e) where e is 2.71828

easy to remember...we had log(x)...we still have log(x) --> to the new base just divided by the "log of the base" bit.

Hope this helps
