Assuming you want to simplify this first, recognize that it can be re-written as:
-log(4.9)-log(1x10^-5)
The log 10^(anything)=anything, so this can be reduced to:
-log(4.9)+5
Either look up the log of 4.9 or plug it in your calculator to finish the simplification.
