Question 768302: write the expression as a single logarithm
log(x^2+2x-3)/(x^2-4)-log(x^2+7x+6)/(x+2)
so far i have been able to factor the equations to get
log((x+3)(x-1))/((x+2)(x-2))-log((x+1)(x+6))/(x+2)

if possible show steps.
thank you

write the expression as a single logarithm
log(x^2+2x-3)/(x^2-4)-log(x^2+7x+6)/(x+2)
log((x^2+2x-3)/(x^2-4)/(x^2+7x+6)/(x+2))
log(((x+3)(x-1)/(x+2)(x-2))/((x+6)(x+1)/(x+2)))
log(((x+3)(x-1)/(x+2)(x-2))*((x+2)/(x+6)(x+1)))
(x+2) cancels out
