Question 764226: Hello, good day. I have been trying for the last few hours to work this question: 25^x - 8(5^x) = -16, instructions: solve exponential equation. Express irrational solutions in exact form and as a decimal rounded to three decimal
places.
I try to minimize it exponentially and work it like that but it requires log application and I just cannot see how that is possible. All help is greatly appreciated

25^x - 8(5^x) = -16
This really does not look possible since the equation can be written as
25^x = 8(5^x) - 16
========================================================================
25^x will always be greater than 8(5^x) - 16
=======================================================================
for example try x=1/2, x=2, x=3
========================================================================
