Please explain how the graph of y=log base 2 of x/7 can be obtained from the graph of y=log base 2 of x.

log(base 2)(x/7)= log(base 2)x - log(base 2)7
So if you have the graph of log(base 2)x
you can obtain the graph of log(base 2)(x/7) by lowering the graph log(base 2)7,
that is by subtracting that amount from each of the y values.
