use a calculator to find log(base2)5
Use the change of base formula: log(5)/log(2) (log of number/log of base)
On the calculator: Using the LOG key, punch in log(5) then divide the answer by log(2) on the LOG key. By this procedure, you can get the log of any base with the calculator.
For example:
log(8)/log(2)=3 (Using calculator)
