Answer by lwsshak3(11628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3^(x+4) = 6^(2x+5)
solve for x by taking the log of both sides.
(x+4)log(3)=(2x+5)log(6)
(x+4)/(2x+5)=(log(6)/log(3)
use the log key of a calculator from this point
(x+4)/(2x+5)≈1.6309
x+4=3.2619x+8.1545
2.2619x=-4.1545
x=-4.1545/2.2619
x≈-1.8367
check: w/calculator
3^(x+4)=3^(-1.8367+4)≈10.77..
6^(2x+5)=6^(2*-1.8367+5)≈10.77..
