OK, then (8^2)^x = 8
Ans (8)^(2x) = 8

Finally 2x = 1
x = 1/2

Another way:
x = log64(8)
x = log(8)/log(64)

Use base 8 on top and bottom:
x = log8(8)/log8(64)
x = 1/2
