How do you solve
4log(3-2x) = -1 ?
log(3-2x) = -1/4
convert to exponential form:
10^-(1/4)=3-2x
0.5623≈3-2x
3-2x≈0.5623
2x=3-0.5623≈2.4377
x≈1.2188
check:
(3-2x)=3-2*1.2188=.5624
4log(3-2x)=4log(.5624)=4*-2.499≈-0.9998.. ≈-1
