Question 691222: how to solve this logarithmic equation:
8logx=2

Answer by fcabanski(1391)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8log(x)=2 divide both sides by 8 --->log(x) = 1/4 = .25.

Remember the log identity log(basea)(x) = y if and only if a^y = x.

log(x) = .25 is log base 10 (x) = .25 ---> 10^.25 = x. 10^.25 is approximately 1.778 so x = 1.778.
