Question 690630: log(4)*(x+2)=log(4)*(8)
i know the answer is 6, show me how,step by step?

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log(4)*(x+2)=log(4)*(8)
-----
Comment: Those "*" symbols are misplaced.
The "4" on each side is the base in a log expression.
----
log4(x+2) = log4(8)
-----
x +2 = 8
x = 6
