3^2x-1=5^x

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the exponential equation algebraically. Show steps
3^(2x-1) = 5^x
(2x-1)log(3) = xlog(5)
Combine the "x" terms and factor out the "x":
----
[2log(3)-log(5)]x = log(3)
x = log(3)/[log(9/5)]
------
x = 1.8691
