log2(4)+log2(45-2y)=log2(y^2)
place under single log
log2[4*(45-2y)]=log(y^2)
4(45-2y)=y^2
180-8y=y^2
y^2+8y-180=0
factor
(y-10)(y+18)=0
y=10
or
y=-18
