Question 65652: I also need help with
"log^a(8x+5)=log^a(4x+29)"
Thanx!

Answer by funmath(2933)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"log^a(8x+5)=log^a(4x+29)"
If the bases are the same, then:
8x+5=4x+29
8x-4x+5=4x-4x+29
4x+5=29
4x+5-5=29-5
4x=24
4x/4=24/4
x=6
Check:
log^a(8(6)+5)=log^a(4(6)+29)
log^a(48+5)=log^a(24+29)
log^a(53)=log^a(53) We're right!!!
Happy Calculating!!!
