Question 641759: What does x equal in the logarithm equation
log8(4) = x·log8(2) ?

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20059)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log8(4) = x·log8(2)

Write the 4 as 2˛

log8(2˛) = x·log8(2)

Now use this rule of lagarithms: on the left

2·log8(2) = x·log8(2)

Divide both sides by log8(2)

 =

 =

 2 = x
