Question 625703: 3e^x+1=5
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm assuming that the exponent here is x+1

3e^(x+1)=5

e^(x+1)=5/3

x+1 = ln(5/3)

x = ln(5/3) - 1 <<<-------- Exact Answer

x = -0.48917 <<<-------- Approximate Answer

Note: use a calculator to find the approximate answer
