 How do you find the inverse and domain of a log? Here is an example problem:
y=5e^(x-2)-1
To find the inverse, interchange x and y, then solve for y which is the inverse
x=5e^(y-2)-1
(x+1)=5e^(y-2)
(x+1)/5=e^(y-2)
take log of both sides
ln((x+1)/5)=(y-2)lne
lne=1
y-2=ln((x+1)/5)
y=ln((x+1)/5)+2
y^-1=ln((x+1)/5)+2
(x+1)>0
x>-1
Domain: (-1,∞)
