Question 599817: Evaluate each logarithm
a. log(16)1
b. log (e)e4
c. log(10)0.01
d. log(3)27
e. log(5) 3 square root 5

Evaluate each logarithm
a. log(16)1=0 (16^0=1)
b. log (e)e4=4 (base raised to an exponent=exponent)
c. log(10)0.01=log10(10^-2)=-2 (base raised to an exponent=exponent)
d. log(3)27=3 (3^3=27)
e. log(5) 3 square root 5
log5(3√5)
solving for logarithm
5^x=(3√5)
take log of both sides
xlog5=log3+1/2*log5
x=(log3+1/2*log5)/log5
x≈1.1826
log(5) 3 square root 5=log5(3√5)=1.1826
