Question 577511: Please help solve for x in the following problem, I couldn't figure it out
log(x) + log(x+90)=3

adding logs is akin to multiplying quantities

"un"logging ___ (x)(x + 90) = 10^3 ___ x^2 + 90x - 1000 = 0

factoring ___ (x + 100)(x - 10) = 0

remember, logs are NOT defined for negative arguments
