Question 57209: 1)show me how to compute the following:
log_2(4)log_4(6)log_6(8)

2a)write as sum and difference logs:
b)show log_b(A/D)=log_b(A)-log_b(D)
log_4[-4^3x^2(x-1)^1/2/(x+3)^3

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1)show me how to compute the following:
log_2(4)log_4(6)log_6(8)
I assume you are multiplying:
=[(log4)/(log2)]*(log8)/(log6)
=(log8)/(log2)
-----------------------
2a)write as sum and difference logs:
b)show log_b(A/D)=log_b(A)-log_b(D)
log_4[-4^3x^2(x-1)^1/2/(x+3)^3
Keep in mind this is all base 4.
I'll have to assume that negative is not there:
=log[(4^3)(2^(x-1))/(x+3)^3]
=3log4 +(x-1)log2 - 3log(x+3)

Stan H.
