Question 540633: Sorry guys, I'm not sure this is the right category for this question, but I couldn't find a better one. I'm learning about Logarithm's and Exponential Equations at the moment, and having a little trouble.
Please help me solve this equation for x:
Let h(x)=34^(4x-1)
h(x)=1/6
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/6 = 34^(4x - 1)
taking log ___ log(1) - log(6) = (4x - 1)[log(34)] ___ log(1) = 0
dividing by log(34) and adding one ___ -{[log(6)] / [log(34)]} + 1 = 4x
